Commons by Clairen Haus

Your community. Your app. Your brand.

Commons is a private community app with your name on it: feed, messages, courses, events and rewards, on your own web address. Move your members off rented platforms and into a home you own.

You own it. No per-member fees, no platform lock‑in.
Done for you $2,497 setup + $149/month hosting and support, or DIY $997.

Commons in under 30 seconds

If your community still lives in a Facebook group, you don’t own it, you’re renting it. Commons gives you a private community app with your name on it, then hands you the keys.

See the two ways to get it

Why Commons

You built the community. Someone else owns the house.

You’re renting

Your members, your content and your history live on someone else’s platform, under their rules. If they change pricing or policy, you change with them.

Their prices, their cut

The platform sets the price and can change it, and some take a cut of what you sell. From their own pricing pages: Skool is $9/mo plus a 10% transaction fee, or $99/mo. Circle starts at $89/mo and Mighty Networks at $79/mo, billed yearly.*

Your brand gets buried

Members log in to the platform’s app, see the platform’s logo, and get nudged toward other communities. Your name ends up as one tab among many.

Questions

Good to know

Do I need to be technical?

Not with done-for-you. We set it up, connect your web address and email, and hand you the admin login. Day to day you post, invite and manage members from the admin tools. DIY is for people comfortable setting up and hosting a web app themselves.

Can I move my members over from Skool, Circle or Facebook?

Yes. You invite your existing members to your new address. With done-for-you we plan the move together on the call so nobody gets lost.

Who owns the community and the data?

You do. It runs under your web address and your accounts. Your members are your members.

What does the $149/month cover?

Hosting, updates and support for your done-for-you community. There’s no cut of what you sell.

Is there a monthly fee with DIY?

Not to Clairen Haus. DIY is a one-time $997 for the code. You pay your own hosting providers directly, and setup and support aren’t included.

Can my members use it on their phones?

Yes. It’s built mobile-first, and members can add it to their home screen so it opens full screen with your icon, like an app. No App Store needed.

Ready to own your community?

Book a call and we’ll show you what yours would look like.
